Doug & Ari Sail on the Disney Dream Day 3

Day 3 was Pirate Night! Every pirate night there is a character show on deck and it's called Mickey's Pirates in the Carribean. I perform in this show and I make friends with Minnie Mouse. The whole family came to see the show, which was so exciting for me! Before and after the show, all four of the kids went to the Oceaner's Club to play. That way, Doug and Ari were able to go to dinner alone, which was a nice treat for them I'm sure. The first four photos here were taken at the club. Photo 1 is all four of them watching a pirate program. Photo 2 and 3 were both taken in Pixie Hollow, which is a great place to color and make pirate puppets! Photo 4 was taken in Andy's Room. And photo 5 was taken during "Pluto's Pajama Party". They were told to copy Pluto and "lay down and play dead". Later we all went up to the deck for Bucaneer's Blast, which is the fireworks display and pirate party. We had a terrific time! We stayed for the whole party which lasted until 11:30. The fireworks are about 10 minutes, but then Jack Sparrow and dancers put on a show called "Club Pirate". Then it turns into a dance party, which Isadora loved. She really loves to dance, but it was so fun because we were all dancing for the most part. Photo 6, 7 & 8 were taken during the fireworks and pirate party on deck. This night was my favorite part of their trip. Photo 9 was the towel the housekeeper left in the room. Photo 10 is a snack Autumn and I had later that night, a Mickey Bar! Isadora woke up in the middle of the night and crawled into bed with Autumn and myself.

Doug & Ari Sail on the Disney Dream Day 2

On Day 2 of their vacation we were in Nassau, in the Bahamas. They started the morning off by coming to the Oceaner's Club (the kids club) to see "Puzzle Playtime". They played "Goose, Goose, Duck" with Donald Duck. Donovan was scared at first when Donald chose him to run around the circle, but Autumn pushed him up and said "Run! Donald is going to chase you!" It was so cute! I made friends with Donald Duck. Then they all were scheduled to do the swimming with the dolphins excursion off the ship. Doug, Autumn and Isadora were the ones swimming with the dolphins and Ari, Sadira and Donovan were observers. I am not sure how much they actually got to watch because I think Ari said they went to play in the pool area they had instead. They were there for the middle part of the day. When they returned to the ship they headed to the pool. Autumn & Doug rode the Aquaduck as you can barely see Doug in photo 1. Photo 2 and 3 capture everyone playing in the pool on deck. As usual Donovan and Sadira love to jump to Doug in the pool. "This is just like Grampi & Nana's house!" - Autumn. Later that night Autumn and Isadora came to my cabin for a make over my roommate Emma and my other friend Stefaney had promised them. As you can see in the last three photos, they got their hair and make up done. The girls absolutely loved it, and my friends enjoyed the make over party.

Doug & Ari Sail on the Disney Dream Day 1

Doug, Ari, Autumn, Isadora, Sadira and Donovan made their way down to Florida to come sailing on the Disney Dream. I met them at their hotel in Cocoa Beach on Sunday April 24th, 2011; which was also Easter morning. It was so exciting to see members of my family! It has just been too long!

We had breakfast at IHOP, then we made our way to the Terminal in which they met the Disney Dream. The girls were screaming at their first sight of the ship; it was adorable. The terminal is where we check in and they saw the first character of the ship, Goofy. Then their first family photo was with Mickey Mouse. Later they came to see me perform in the Golden Mickey's show at the Walt Disney Theater. I stayed in the stateroom every night for a sleepover party with Auntie Kaleigh.

Mickey and Minnie Celebrate Easter

For the Easter holiday Mickey and Minnie brought their "spring" outfits onto the ship. Also the White Rabbit made an appearance for the Easter cruise. I made friends with Minnie in these photos.

Project Gangway: Challenge 1

It is hard to come up with new things to do on the ship and it can get boring or monotonous for us. So one of my fellow cast members, Casey came up with the idea to have a contest similar to Project Runway. The show is about people who want to become designers and are faced with different challenges each episode. We call our version "Project Gangway". People from our cast volunteered to be designers and models, they were then paired up. The photos here were from the first challenge. The challenge was to create any design using only paper and/or plastic, and they were only allowed to use tape. The girl in the third photo was the winner, her designer was Chris.
