Vatican City

Civitavecchia is our next port and my Mom, Dad, Ali and her parents and I took the train towards Rome, but stopped at Vatican City. We joined a tour to see all three attractions there. It was a very thorough tour that took three and a half hours. Our tour guide was full of information and was full of information and was entertaining as well. The first attraction is the Vatican Museum. It was full of beautiful statues, sculptures and courtyards. Most of the photos here are taken at the museum. After the museum we finally made our way to the Sisteen Chapel. It is not permitted to take photos there, so unfortunately I don’t have any. I just thought it was so incredible to be inside such a historical place. It seems like thy only use natural light inside because it was a bit dark. No is allowed to speak inside so the atmosphere is peaceful. I feel so lucky to have stepped foot there and to share that experience with my parents. The St. Peter’s Basilica was gorgeous as well. The photos speak for themselves. My Mom was so happy we visited the Vatican City, honoring her Catholic upbringing. We didn’t have time to go to Rome, maybe next time.
